Reading a book like this in an age of declining intellectual curiosity matched with ever increasing self righteousness will cause eyebrows to be raised This is all the true because my overall beliefs are left; Devlin is the enemy He writes for the obnoxious Occidental uarterly and believes in Jewish conspiracies to be fair I think 2017 era ideas on patriarchy and white supremacy are also conspiracy theories of a different variety

Like many political revolutions the sexual revolution of the 1960s began with a euphoric feeling of liberation But when utopian programs clash with dissenters and with reality itself the result is chaos which revolutionaries seek to uash with repression and terror In Sexual Utopia in Power F Roger Devlin explores today’s sexual dystopia with its loose morals and confused sexual roles; its soaring rates of divorce celibacy and childlessness; and the increasingly arbitrary and punitive attempts to regulate and police it Devlin shows that the breakdown of monogamy results in promiscuity for the few loneliness for the majority and unhappiness for all Every revolution gives rise to a reaction Devlin however is very critical of mainstream conservative responses to the sexual revolution which often eerily echo feminist complaints about innocent women being preyed upon by wicked men who must be scolded and punished The most controversial aspect of Devlin’s work is his argument that today’s sexual dystopia is rooted just as much in women’s nature as men’s exploring such tabo. An absolute masterpiece of critical thought Basically what The Culture of Critiue is to the Jews this book is to feminists It s the definitive work that sets the standard for what all other critiues are supposed to be like and is so thorough that it makes additional works on the topic seem almost superfluous Of all the illusions Westernkind are steeped in the hardest one to liberate ourselves from are the illusions wrought by Feminism You need to read this book Highly recommended

O topics as female hypergamy mating up narcissism infidelity deceptiveness and masochism By showing their biological basis F Roger Devlin offers a non traditional defense of traditional sexual morals and institutions and shows us the way out of today’s sexual dystopia Contents Preface Introduction The Facts of Life 1 Sexual Utopia in Power 2 Rotating Polyandry its Enforcers 3 The Female Sexual Counter Revolution and its Limitations 4 Home Economics 5 The Family Way 6 Back to Africa Sexual Atavism in the Modern West 7 The uestion of Female Masochism Index Print edition only Praise for F Roger Devlin “‘Sexual Utopia in Power’ Devlin’s infamous essay that launched a thousand blog posts about female hypergamy is highly uotable and insightful in its analysis of the contemporary struggle between the sexes Its indictments of feminism and warnings to men have only become relevant since it was written ‘Sexual Utopia’ is also an important response to clueless conservatives who rush to blame men for not marrying and starting families with women who are in many though not. I heard about this book from left wing blogger communist party member and bigfoot hunter extraordinaire Robert Lindsay This seems like an odd recommendation coming from Lindsay but he s never been shy about taking on what he considers the idiocy of identity politics he s an old hard line leftist on economics but somewhat conservative on everything elseTo get to the book itself the author comes off as intelligent lucid and at times incisive On the other hand while the book isn t drenched in animus Devlin does have a bitterness about him when it comes to his assessment of the fairer sex which may or may not be hard won I don t know his personal history or based on being snubbedsued by some woman He is at his best when he criticizes the way the mainstream right colludes with campus culture to create false narratives of females being constantly under siege by vicious males when in many instances they are really obviously just using Title IX to redeem their honor after consensual sexual encounters they regret Rape is real Rape culture less soDevlin is a little less convincing when he starts to talk like Gavin McInnes and he pushes the narrative that rolling back the Welfare State to pre New Deal terms will somehow make women into mirror images of his beloved grandmother I agree with curtailing a lot of government excesses but his worship of the market is as silly as Marcuse s or Sartre s belief in some proletariat Utopia just over the horizon of the next blood soaked repressive state In fact in a lot of ways Devlin could be said to share a lot of traits with those he hatesAs for the essays in this collection the titular one Sexual Utopia in Power isn t the best though it is thoughtful and well written I would say the book takes off in those chapters wherein Devlin turns his gaze to the works of other writers offering his opinion on books written by feminists and sociologists giving credit where it is due and dropping the boom where that s called for The weakest link in the chain is the essay dealing with female masochism Trying to extrapolate what women believe from what kind of fantasy literature they consume is a waste of effort in my opinion It can be fascinating but it s ultimately futile and the blogger Whiskey has a lock on that departmentThat said this book is written by someone who understands uite a bit about men women and civilization than your average writer Recommended
